interdisciplinary paths to art
i received my artistic training at the folkwang hochschule für musik, theater und tanz (today: folkwang universität der künste) as a composer with nicolaus a. huber, later with a focus on computer-assisted composing with dirk reith. before that, at the musisches zentrum of the ruhr universität, i had schooled my visual seeing and shaping with the informel painter hans-jürgen schlieker.
for my artistic work i use a wide spectrum of suitable media and forms, which i often integrate across disciplines. this gives rise to photographic images, visiographies of photographed material, video compositions, electronic music as well as language art in manifold interconnections.
