Touched by the death of my former life partner, this composition was for me a way to work through my grief and to understand my inner image of the transition from life into a transcendent being.
Detachment
The music traces the zone of transformation into another dimension of being. Starting from a conscious attitude toward finitude at the end of life, more and more shadows arise, which compel the acceptance of the inescapable transience of bodily being. The surrender to finitude flows into a song of farewell in dignity and beauty, after which the strength finally runs dry.
Transformation
Out of the emptiness in the moment of standstill, echoes at first still arise in the transcendent dimension, which detach themselves ever more disembodied and lead into the transition of the soul to dematerialized being, transforming via the radiance of wholeness into mysterious infinite silence.
