Traces of our ancestors interweave our being: they shape our perceptions, attitudes, desires, taboos - and so flow into our actions.
Beliefs arise, partly contradictory in themselves, which, as in a cabinet of distorting mirrors, mutually bend and distort one another. All these inner truths press to be accepted – and to lead. Yet in isolation none is complete. If we allow one belief of this web dominance, it becomes destructive. Our life is shaped by the fact that we move within such multiplicity.
My composition gives room to fragments of being broken in this way. It sounds out the feelings and forms of expression that come with them. Waiting, hope-free persistence stands beside disturbing rebellion. A resolution in “either/or” cannot arise.
Thus the inner path flows into surrender to “being fully there”. And from this affirmation grows openness to transformation.
