Decoding Ambivalence
Hinted melodies, as if thrown timelessly into self-transforming being: motif fragments hollow themselves out into multicolored sound particles, peel their way into the foreground, join with orchestrally conceived sound fabrics.
They wander through inner worlds full of hope, resistance, approach and distance, fusion and dissociation. Gently carrying or sharply drawing, a space grows that opens and passes away in many dimensions, in which contradiction and harmony condense into meta-dimensions.
Acceptance as a Path to Surrender
The inner path leads through contradictory abysses, via letting go and ruptures, to surrender, ultimately finding release in the silent “Acknowledging What Is”. “Yes” and “No” reveal themselves as different perspectives on an all-encompassing “It Is”.
Destruction of Illusions
In the cobalt metaphor such ambivalent depth is reflected, integrating seductive beauty and toxic properties. XVI refers to energies of the corresponding tarot card.
Extension
“Cantus XVI – Risse im Cobalt” is complemented by the composition “Cantus X – Verortung”, which deals with the task of individual centering in the complex social context.

The starting points of the image series are erotic photo shoots from 2007 as well as landscape photographs at Eifel maars.
