polis dei – Six Mantras (2017)

Sources of strength within you
CD cover for “polis dei”
The six sections of the composition “polis dei” lead through a multi-stage meditative process.
This inner path helps to strengthen one’s own center and to devote oneself to one’s spirituality – independently of socially shaped religious or spiritual structures. Hence the title: “polis dei”, translated “City of God”: your heart as your center of love, there where you connect, in your own form, with the transpersonal, universal love.
Each of the six compositions leads one step further in this direction, beginning from the outside. The music serves as an anchor point for the mantra that gives each piece its title, on which the attention is focused while listening:
- Geh in Deine Kraft (Step into your power): Allow your greatness and strength: give yourself the freedom to live self-responsibly.
- Schenke Dir Liebe (Give yourself love): Allow yourself to accept yourself, with all facets, including what you have so far condemned in yourself. Allow yourself to say to yourself “Yes, I love myself”.
- Kläre Deinen Geist (Clear your mind): By letting yourself be guided by the drum rhythm, you can follow the wide melodic arc and so lead the thoughts buzzing in your head into the expanse of empty space.
- Öffne Dein Herz (Open your heart): In this expanse you can recognize that the basis of all loving is to open your heart to yourself. And so also to accept love in freedom.
- polis dei: Let your heart be the space in which God lives in you - however you may name “God” for yourself.
- Vertraue dem Sein (Trust in being): By opening these stages of self-perception, you are ready to surrender to being. You can open yourself to recognizing the possibilities that are right for you at any given time and to taking the steps when they are ripe.
